Dot
Hatfield was born in Texas, has lived in Oklahoma and
Tennessee, and now makes her home in Arkansas. Her work has appeared in the
Nashville Tennessean, the Arkansas Democrat
Gazette and several regional newspapers. Her
devotional material has been printed in The Upper
Room, Mature Living, Evangel,
Church Educator and Ministry Now.
Dot is past
president of White County Creative Writers and a
founding member of Central Arkansas Writers. She
encourages every serious writer to find a critique group
or mentor.
Dot is the author of three
books. Her first book is a collection of award-winning
shorts stores under the title
Every Day A New Day And Other
Short Stories. She has written two
novels,
The Last to Know and
To Find A Home.
Dot is an experienced writer, copy editor and
speaker. Her background includes editing professional
newsletters for non-profit agencies, speaking at
writers' conferences in Arkansas and Tennessee,
organizing critique groups and assisting writers as
first reader of their novels.
